1-on-1 coaching built around you - your goals, your starting point, your schedule.
At Ballatore Strength, private personal training means you get the full attention of an expert coach every session. No generic programs. No cookie-cutter workouts. Just a clear plan, real coaching, and results you can see.
Most people don't lack effort. They lack direction.
You’ve tried figuring it out on your own. You’ve watched the videos, read the articles, maybe even followed a program from the internet. But something isn’t clicking — the results aren’t coming, you’re not sure if you’re doing it right, and honestly, the gym can feel overwhelming when you’re not sure what you’re doing.
That’s not a motivation problem. That’s a coaching problem.
A great personal trainer doesn’t just hand you a workout. They watch how you move, understand where you’re starting from, and build a plan that’s actually designed for you — then stand next to you while you execute it.
What to expect from personal training at Ballatore Strength
Every session, every detail — just for you.
When you train 1-on-1 at Ballatore Strength, your coach is 100% focused on you from the moment you walk in. Here’s what that looks like in practice:
A plan built from scratch for your body and your goals
Before you touch a single weight, we learn where you’re starting from — your movement history, your schedule, your goals, and any injuries or limitations. Your program is built from that information, not copied from a template.
Real-time coaching on every rep
We watch how you move, correct what needs correcting, and push you when you’re ready for more. You’ll learn proper technique in a way that carries over outside the gym — and reduces your injury risk for life.
Progressive programming that actually gets harder over time
Most gym-goers plateau because they keep doing the same thing. Your coach will track your progress and advance your program so you’re always working toward something, not just checking a box.
Accountability that goes beyond the hour
Your coach knows your schedule, your tendencies, and what gets in the way. If you’re struggling, we’ll talk about it and adjust. You won’t get that from an app.
Who personal training at Ballatore Strength is right for
Personal training works for a wide range of people, but it’s especially valuable if you fit one of these descriptions:
- You’re new to the gym and want to build confidence and learn to lift safely before anything else

- You have a specific goal — lose weight, build muscle, get stronger, move without pain — and you want a structured path to reach it
- You’ve had an injury or physical limitation and need coaching that accounts for your body’s needs
- You want someone in your corner who’s tracking your progress, adjusting your plan, and showing up every session ready for you

“I have love, love, loved training at this gym. Each member has an individualized lifting plan that spans several weeks. The coaches are knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging; always willing to re-explain the best form for a given workout. The atmosphere at Ballatore is unlike any gym I have ever belonged to. Folks are friendly and easy to talk to. I was able to hit PRs due to the accomplishable and satisfying system they have set up. I would recommend this gym to folks of all skill levels and lifting backgrounds; it’s a true gem here in Gainesville.”
“The trainers I have worked with are very knowledgeable and work with all ages and fitness levels. The workouts can be modified for someone with hips, shoulders, or knees injuries.Ron built my program around an old knee injury and I’ve been training pain-free for a year. I wish I’d done this sooner.”
